My name is Elea Andrea Almazora, and I’m a professional communicator. 🖐
Let me tell you a little bit about myself:
Professional history: SEO, talking to algorithms
I worked in the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) industry as an “on-page” person for the last 15 years. I’ve polished and organized content. I’d applied the right HTML tags. I made sure there were jump links. Basically, I helped Google and Bing understand what web pages are about. SEO is an interesting profession, especially when I get to work on tech websites that sell solutions to businesses. *
Professional future: Connecting people
Then I realized something. I didn’t enjoy that as much as getting everyone on the same page. Between my corporate and freelancing gigs, I’ve used communication to align teams and connect contributors to achieve some really cool outcomes. My favorite projects involved talking to people and developing messages that’ll help them consume, digest, and understand next steps. The experiences I keep going back to are the ones that built a great culture that inspires collaboration across disciplines and backgrounds.
So I figured I should get into Internal Communications. Why the heck not, right? There’s still a lot for me to learn, but I like learning new things anyway—this sounds like a blast to me.
The plan: Document the journey
I’ll be taking courses, asking people questions, and jotting down as much information as I can gather on the topic of building connective tissue within organizations. And then, I’ll be posting what I learn on my socials and in this space.
If you’re interested in following along, I encourage you to keep an eye out for my blog or follow me on LinkedIn and X.
* I 100% recommend working for a B2B software as a service company if you want excitement in your life! Between keyword research, brand building, and algorithm updates, you’ll never have a dull moment.
